We're searching for a Groups and MICE Sales Manager in London or Manchesterto join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, influencing, building and maintaining relationships with key Groups & MICE Agency partners and Corporates. You'll help to grow edyn's market share, sales of Group bookings and achieve defined B2B revenue targets from new and existing TMC's and MICE Agencies in line with edyn's overall commercial strategy. As well as this, you will be onducting research and prospecting to uncover potential new opportunities within the portfolio.
A role less ordinary.
- Follow edyn's Agency Groups & MICE sales strategy in order to deliver budgeted B2B room nights and revenue
- Oversee the relationships with all our Agency partners and ensure we have commercially beneficial deals in place to incentivise growth, owning and executing agreed activities within the Sales and Marketing activity calendar
- Negotiate new and existing commercial agreements to ensure customers adopt edyn as a preferred supplier using persuasive sales techniques, insight and analysis
- First class client relationship and account development practices for an individual portfolio of UK key Agencies with Account Development Plans in place
- Work with the local and central corporate sales teams to prospect and convert new corporate clients and opportunities from within your Agency portfolio.
- Build and maintain knowledge of competitor activity and rates
- Review of trading conditions regularly with Revenue Management team and agree promotional activities for assigned portfolio
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationships at all levels within and outside of the sales function Ensure accurate recording of customer activity, communications, campaign analysis and ongoing data management via CRM
- Oversee responses to key high value enquiries to ensure timeliness, accuracy and optimal negotiation and positioning of proposals
Who you are.
- Significant Groups & MICE agency sales experience with a strong track record of delivering sales growth in the hospitality industry is highly desirable
- Demonstrable experience of successfully developing and growing B2B sales across an organisation
- Detail focussed and analytical, strong organisational and prioritisation skills, commercially aware, numerate with the ability to identify opportunities.
- Comfortable operating in a matrix organisation and delivering through others as part of a shared vision
- A results driven individual who is passionate about delivering commercial targets
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to influence different business areas and management levels
- Results driven, self-motivated, flexible and resilient
- Competence in Word, PowerPoint and Excel for sales presentations and reporting
